Fifth Generation Fighter Jets ( F-22 Raptor )

Hey!
It's Abhishek again.

So guys, most of you'll may know the generations of fighter jets.
Well, They're 5 Generations of Fighter Jets till now.

The United States of America is the only country which claims to posses as Fifth-Generation Fighter jet.
Several attempts are being made by several countries to counteract with America and make Fifth-Generation Fighter crafts.
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is currently the only Fifth-Generation Fighter jet that's in service.

Lockheed Martin/Boeing Martin  :

F-22 Raptor was invented in the year 2005 under the Advanced Tactical Fighter ( ATF ) initiative introduced by the United States Air Force ( USAF ). During the Cold War, the best fighter jet of the USAF was the F-15. The USAF needed something which could move faster than sound without burning out the engine and the fuel and could travel a distance of 800 miles and have an amazing speed of Mach 1.5 while being a Stealth Fighter. Thus was born the F-22 Raptor. The F-22 Raptor is by far the most advanced plane in all terms.
The USAF in order to demonstrate the potential of the F-22 showed a controlled dog-fight between two F-22 Fighters and four F-15 Eagles. The dog-fight ended with the defeat of all the four F-15 Eagles without any loss in the F-22 pair. The F-15 pilot said that he wasn't able to see the F-22 in the radar.

The main advantages of the F-22 Raptor
1)  The low-observable stealth feature.
2)  Two engines.
3)  Speed of the F-22.
4) Agility. ( Easily able to move in combat )
5) Short Ranged-Medium Ranged Missiles to remove incoming threats.

Currently, 195 F-22 Raptors are in service for the United States Air Force and the United States Navy.
Maximum Speed : 1,600 miles/hour.

Countries like China, Russia, India, South Korea, Japan are trying to reach the Fifth-Generation Air Craft features.
China is close to manufacturing a Fifth-Generation Fighter Jet in the time frame of  2014 - 2020.
